It's Pharmacy Awareness week! Pharmacists do a lot to help improve Canadian's health, yet their knowledge and skills are often under-utilized. During this week come down to Sereda's Pharmacy and visit Jim Sereda to take full advantage of the services he offers for you and your family. Some things to keep in mind about your pharmacist. Jim Sereda and all other pharmacists keep a record of your prescriptions. Always talk to your pharmacist about your medication. Never hesitate to talk to your pharmacist. They can provide information on a range of health issues. You may want to know about the side effects of a drug or whether it interacts with other medication. If you are walking around in the pharmacy and have questions about an over-the-counter drug, don't hesitate to ask your pharmacist about it. They will discuss the differences between the non-prescription medications. Also remember that illnesses affect children differently than they do adults. So it is very important to talk to your pharmacist about your child. Your pharmacist needs to know if your child is allergic to medications or if he or she is taking other medications. Your pharmacist will also show you how to store medications to keep out of childrens reach.
